NHS Brighton and Hove launch Fighting Fit for Business

As part of their campaign to encourage employers to help their employees get fitter and healthier, the NHS has launched a brand new interactive campaign for the Health, Wealth and Wellbeing organisation run jointly by Brighton and Hove City Council and the NHS.

lh434lb1Fighting Fit for Business is an interactive animated experience that provides employees and employers with dos and don’ts, tips and tricks to create a healthy, productive workplace.
The campaign is aimed at 35-50 year olds in the business world. The site communicates the key messages of the campaign with a humorous and informal tone, conveyed visually through beautifully crafted interactive animations.

The objectives for the campaign include raising awareness of the free training and information available to help local businesses create a healthier workplace and also to promote the NHS’s sponsorship of the Healthiest Workplace Award, part of the Brighton and Hove Business Awards.

“Some businesses don’t realise how dramatically a healthy workforce can impact on profitability”

Louise Sigfrid, Healthy Workplace Advisor for Brighton & Hove City Council, said: “Some businesses don’t realise how dramatically a healthy workforce can impact on profitability by reducing absenteeism, improving productivity, efficiency and, most importantly, increasing job satisfaction. It only takes a few simple steps to get started, as shown in the Fighting Fit animation. We hope this will raise awareness and help businesses get fit for the future.”

Businesses who feel they could be contenders in this year’s Healthiest Workplace Award should check out the animation first and then enter their business into the Brighton and Hove Business awards by following the link below. Judges are looking for workplaces that protect the wellbeing of employees and promote healthy living and working conditions. All sizes of business can enter.
