Countrywide signs up for UK’s largest open house weekend

Property demand on the South Coast has enabled agents Countrywide Residential Lettings to sign up for the UK’s largest open house weekend.

Countrywide will join more than 1,300 agents throughout the UK to help committed buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants complete their move in 2010 to avoid the Government’s tax increases.

The planned VAT increase comes into force on 4 January 2011, rising from 17 to 20 per cent.

Launching the Get Moving Open House Weekend, Countrywide regional director Leon Betchley said: “We’ve had great success with similar open house events because they take the formality out of viewing homes.

“They enable buyers to view a huge variety of properties, back-to-back, without appointments.”
