With Eco Open Houses you can save money in the age of austerity
With huge government cuts taking their toll on people’s spending, householders in Brighton & Hove Eco Open Houses show how you can make big savings in fuel bills in your home.
Gas prices have risen over 50 per cent over the last five years, and with the average energy bill for a three bedroom house being over £1,200 a year, there is no greater time to be considering how we can save money and energy in our homes.
The Eco Open Houses event is showcasing 14 of the city’s finest houses during the four Heritage Open Days (9–12 September) and two days of Energy Saving Week (30–31 October). The event aims to show how simple behaviour changes and changes which can easily be made to your home can reduce your energy use. It is free to visit any of the houses, and all are welcome.
