Stark are a Brighton based acoustic trio playing folky blues with an ethnic twist, they have been building up a following on the local acoustic scene over the last year, and their debut EP will be released shortly.

Indie classical singer and composer Ana Silvera’s star is on the rise: soon to be performing a new work at the Roundhouse alongside Imogen Heap, her eagerly awaited EP, “The Aviary” is also scheduled for release for January 2012 (Mirabeau Recordings).
Ana’s songs draw on her eventful life, as well as referencing mythical and historical tales for their lively narratives. “The Aviary” was recorded in New York with Maxim Moston (Antony and the Johnsons, Baby Dee), and a film was recently released about Ana’s song cycle ‘Oracles’ (dir.Kate Church) that premiered on PORT Magazine earlier this year to strong acclaim.

Bark Like A Dog Blues Jam

Musicians of all abilities are welcome to join in the fun and either replace or play alongside a band member. We can also accommodate bands who want to take over the whole stage for a number or two!
Musical content is centred around blues but not strictly constrained by it with numbers by BB King, Cream, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix among the set list.
A set-list is available for all on the evening and is co-ordinated so that everyone that wants to get up and strut their stuff gets the chance to.
