Nights Been and Gone

A full house was held spellbound by the talent and charm of Tom Waits’ former nanny. Playing songs from her second album she ranged in style from Weimar cabaret to the Belleville harmonies of ‘Out The Back Door’, via the beguiling siren’s call of title track ‘Hunting My Dress’. Sounding like a southern Californian cross between Kate Bush and Joni Mitchell, she told of her Mormon upbringing between songs about death and name checking each of the Beastie Boys on ‘Come And Bring Your Stereo’. A truly compelling and absolutely enchanting artist.
