BIMM Brighton launches three new part-time study options

BIMM, the UK and Ireland’s leading provider of contemporary music vocational and higher education courses, today confirmed details of a part time study option on three of their BA (Hons) courses that will begin at their Brighton Campus in October 2014.

The courses will offer flexible learning opportunities to students looking to broaden their education, specialise in a new area or pursue a totally new vocation.

Students will attend lectures at the BIMM Brighton Campus giving them full access to the college’s award-winning state of the art facilities as well as connecting them with the wider BIMM community of musicians, tutors, industry experts, alumni and impressive range of live music events and gigs.

The Music Business Course offers modules including Concert Promotion and Tour Management, Live Sound Technology and Music Publishing.

Students enrolling on the Songwriting course will study modules such as Songwriting, Vocal and Lyric Techniques, Music Theory and Arrangement, whilst those choosing Music Production will learn Studio Engineering, Audio Theory, Acoustics, Video and Multimedia Production as part of their study programme.

Principal of BIMM Brighton, Bristol and Manchester, Vaseema Hamilton, said: “We’re very proud of the diversity of courses on offer at BIMM and the new part-time BA (Hons) courses will open BIMM up to a whole new demographic of students.

“By offering part-time learning, we’re giving the opportunity to many potential students who have not had the option open to them to study towards something that’s completely new or to gain further education for those already working in the music industry.”

These courses are subject to approval by The University of Sussex and are open to student loan finance.
