Leaders in wacky Christmas Pudding Race

Leaders were delighted to take part in the Great Christmas Pudding Race on Saturday 1 December to raise money for the Martlets Hospice and Cancer Research UK.

The plucky team of five – Cassie Gasson, Craig Butcher, Connie Gunn, Spencer Hingston and Matt Le MeHaute – entered the race under the name of ‘Two Direction’ and finished an impressive fourth out of 14 teams.

The teams had to balance a Christmas pudding on a tray whilst negotiating a perilous obstacle course along New Road. It was a wacky challenge of dexterity, balance, speed and general silliness.

The Great Christmas Pudding Race has been a calendar event for 32 years in London and this was the second time it took place in Brighton, after raising £16,500 for the Martlets Hospice and Cancer Research UK in 2010.

Feng Shui inspired CALLAWAYS power brand

Heather Hilder was delighted to welcome colleagues, clients, partners and friends to the re-launch of Callaways Estate & Lettings Agency and chart the makeover of the branch.

All of the marketing collateral needed an overhaul, and the decision was made to move away from the existing corporate colours of blue and orange and adopt a more contemporary palette.

“Leaving nothing to chance we turned to Feng Shui to ensure we selected the right colours for our brand and success. We finally settled for black and gold, with gold symbolising emotional protection and power (Yang) and black promoting money, income and career development (Yin),” said Heather.

With the branding in place the next item on the project plan was to convince Brighton & Hove Council that the renovation planned would be developed in line with other properties in this conservation area. This task fell to Kevin Thornton, architect at KTA Ltd. Kevin gave an inspiring overview of the challenges and rewards on working with Heather on this project in his keynote speech at the event.

A delighted Heather Hilder endorsed the work of the designers, architects and an enthusiastic team who had carried on with the management and business of day-to-day estate agency work.
