EMBERHONEY is a Brighton based Indie Noir band led by songwriter Taylor Madison Damion, whose darkly observant songs are earning her an epithet as ‘a female Leonard Cohen’. A voice ‘like smoke and chocolate’ is set against luscious, cinematic soundscapes created through collaboration with guitarist/producer John ‘The Baron’ Kent and bass guitarist Ben King. The unique EMBERHONEY sound is reminiscent of The Velvet Underground, Anna Calvi, Bat For Lashes, Pulp Fiction and David Lynch’s Twin Peaks.
‘TM Damion’s hypnotising Nico-like voice is set against powerful film noir soundscapes, which leads you into a haunted world of mystery…with a gothic Germanic twist.’ Glasswerk
Following a commission to write the theme song for a New York stage show, Taylor’s work was also nominated in the UK Songwriting and Songfactor competitions, being selected for the latter by Sir Tim Rice. Live radio sessions include BBC Southern Counties, Juice FM and Radio Reverb.
The band are currently preparing to record a much anticipated 2nd EP, following the release of a Single 'Drop Everything' and the highly acclaimed 'Smoke' EP, which received recent airplay on BBC6 music.
EMBERHONEY will be playing a number of showcase events in the forthcoming months and EMBERHONEY's singer/songwriter Taylor Madison Damion is scheduled to tour in Mexico in November 2013
