Alternate Function are a lively, indie rock band from Hove looking to play their music to as many people as possible.
Alternate Function are: -
Joe Robinson – Guitar and vocals, currently studying at BHASVIC, ‘A’ levels in Music, Performance Studies, Maths and IT
Willis Gumbrell – Drums, studying at BIMM, majoring in drumming.
Ben Hoyle – Bass, studying at Blatchington Mill sixth form, Stage Management.
They have been together as a 3 piece for 2 years, previously they were part of the school band, Lucky 13 for two years and have a song on Spotify and iTunes! (Don’t speak at all) having won the recording session in a local competition.
Alternate Function have played at Brighton's famous Concorde 2, Pavilion Theatre , various other local gigs and recently travelled to London to play pubs in Camden and New Cross.
We were in the finals of last year’s Oxjam Festival, Battle of the bands, (we came second!) we previously won our heat. (The Judges said we were - 'Glastonbury ready' - very kind)
We now have an ever growing set of 8 original songs (plus a couple of covers) and want to play as many gigs as possible.
Our EP - 'Lights' is on Soundcloud
It is also available on our new Music Glue site
