Emberhoney is led by iconoclastic Seattle-born siren and songsmith Taylor Madison Damion with guitarist/producer John 'The Baron' Kent and bass guitarist Ben King. With a unique sound reminiscent of The Velvet Underground, Pulp Fiction, Twin Peaks, Leonard Cohen and Lykke Li, Emberhoney are…
‘Dark but never dreary – TM Damion’s hypnotising Nico-like voice is set against powerful film noir soundscapes, which slowly lead you into a haunted world of mystery…with a gothic Germanic twist.’ - Glasswerk
Following the previous release of two singles and an EP on their own Honeytone Recordings label, Emberhoney’s latest E.P ‘Smoke’ – now available as a free online download -evolves this sound to mesmerising effect.
Emberhoney have played a number of shows in London and the South East at The Spitz, Troubador and Komedia, held a six month residency at The Marlborough Theatre in Brighton and performed at the White Night festival. Live radio sessions include BBC Southern Counties, Juice FM and Radio Reverb. Following a commission to write the main theme song for a New York theatre show, Taylor’s work was also nominated in the UK Songwriting and Songfactor competitions.
Emberhoney will be playing a number of showcase events in the forthcoming months and will be releasing their much anticipated debut album next year.
As the promoter of Emberhoney’s recent performance at Komedia, Brighton said
‘The darkness never sounded so beautiful’ – Simon Tilbury
