Kingdom

– May the Fourth Be With You

In a seaside town far far away…

It is a period of quinoa war. Drag King spaceships, striking from a Hanover bedsit, have won their first victory against the evil Tory Empire. During the battle, Drag King spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire’s ultimate weapon, the i360, an armoured phallic symbol with enough power to destroy an entire planet… or at the very least East Sussex.

The force is strong with these Kings… their lightsabers are at the ready…

Mozzz!

A week in the life of an undercover mosquito.

A highly topical, witty, sexy monodrama from multi-award winners, director Faynia Williams and playwright Richard Crane.

A one-day-old male mosquito looks forward to joining the mile-high club and mating in the air. He invites you to donate just a sip of your blood to nurture his children. But there’s a war on and the most dangerous species on earth is dying by the million. Can science stop the carnage? Whose side is our Mozzz on?

Brighton ’83

An early 80s music odyssey

After the rip roaring success of our first club nite last year, Brighton ’83 returns to take you on yet another early 80s music odyssey. This time we welcome 80s aficionado, DJ Jayney Blam Blam (Total Blam Blam) to take the helm of this fundraising event for the Dolphin House Children’s Charity. Join us for this truly authentic trip through the gloriously eclectic music genres that provided the soundtrack for a generation and beyond. Expect New Wave, New Romantic, Ska, Elektro and Classic Pop. This is the night to let your inner 80s wild child run riot!

Plus … the chance to win a top tipple from some of Brighton’s finest brewers and distillers by buying a raffle ticket on the night.

All proceeds support the work of the Charity which provides low cost complimentary health care to local families. For more info go to www.dolphinhouseclinic.com or our Facebook page ‘Dolphin House Charity’.

Voice

A new one-woman show written and performed by Vikki Parker.

Told through theatre, movement, comedy & singing the Blues… a woman immersed in her story of madness, covert control, her lost self & her TED talk fantasy of socially unacceptable facts…reveals her brave ways out.

A glimpse into the means by which SHE can speak, privately & publicly.

Afraid?

A thoughtful, challenging, sometimes funny, sometimes heartbreaking narrative about trauma survival that informs, provokes, soothes and liberates. A glimpse into one feminine perspective of our time. Vikki has been writing for many years… in secret.

She is an actor, writer, artist, Blues singer, thinker & thriver looking for ways to present stories that heal.

She is the Creative Director at Arts Unwritten, a new company that seeks to develop new writing for theatre in collaboration with movement and visual artists. Arts Unwritten seeks to harness the poetic and healing power of personal journey in performance.

The theme of madness and mental instability has been a frequent visitor to her writing, and directing, drawing on the taboos within family and society’s treatment of it.

‘Voice’ is the next stage in testing those waters and telling stories of personal truth. A new level of understanding about her own complexities, is presented in this new writing.
