» Dani’s Diary

Dani lets her sister write her column, as Francesca prepares to leave Brighton and start university

Well the pressure is on now… Not only because I have to write in the shadow of Dani, but also because I am going to find out how worth two years of college is and whether or not I will be off to Greenwich University this September. Having been given a little voice to air my views I have become overwhelmed my how much I need to say to make all right with the world.

“It seems that we work too hard for so little appreciation, considering we are the future”

Firstly let me explain what it is like to take exams like GCSEs and A levels as it is a huge misconception that we get an easy ride in life. Not only are you learning to become an adult and accept responsibilities like relationships and part-time jobs, but we also have to juggle peer pressure, coursework, and exams, plus getting enough sleep to function the next day.

Dani has her cover blown and things get cute and cuddly in the country

I was accused the other day of carrying out a mystery second life. I was quite worried about what she would pull out of her hat and accuse me of, until she starting telling me how much I look like the girl who writes in Latest 7. I told her she was correct and that it looked like me because it was. She was happy as it meant she could prove her boyfriend wrong and in fact she does know everybody!

Dani finds that watching tennis has a surprisingly therapeutic effect on the anxious mind of a troubled girl…

I haven’t been feeling great recently. I am having quite a few panic attacks, and when I am not feeling like that I am absolutely exhausted.

I am so bored of spending all day pretending that I feel fine that cracks are starting to appear in my façade. But it’s okay because I bought myself a sun lounger and I don’t have much of a garden!

“I want Andy Murray to win because if my kitten was a person he would look like Murray”

I had thought of something to say in this space earlier today, but that idea disappeared along with a small amount of sanity.

Dani weighs up what it is that makes us ‘weird’ or ‘normal’ and tries to discover where she fits in

I am scared of the dark. Does that make me weird? I am scared of silence. Does that make me weird? I am scared of aliens. Not goblin-looking aliens but the ones with the elongated features. I have no idea why. Does that make me weird?

“I’m just plain mormal, working nine to five, drinks on a Friday, roast on a Sunday, hair dye”

» Brighton Lights 31

Our new programme for thelatest.tv sees Juice FM presenter Guy Lloyd investigate all manner of things. He starts off with chart-topping band The Hoosiers who were mega-successful a couple of years ago, were dropped by their major label and have become fashionably independent. Their chart-topping album cost £1 million to record, their new album £100 and we reckon it's just as good. We have exclusive footage of this new record. Guy does crazy-golfing with them, checks out their sound-check and witnesses the fans' adoration of the band at Audio in Brighton. In future shows Guy will be doing waxing, Dot Cotton, air guitar and needs your suggestions for more crazy things (or people) to do. Send to bill@thelatest.co.uk
