Brighton Hippodrome campaigners receive a blow in theatre plans

It was once of the most loved venues on the south coast.

But plans to keep the Brighton Hippodrome as a theatre appear to have hit a wall.

This was after the government said they would not intervene after planning permission was granted to turn it into a multiplex cinema and restaurant complex.
