WATCH: Mass protest as Brighton reacts to Trump’s travel ban

Last night saw thousands of people take to the streets of Brighton in protest at Donald Trump’s travel ban on people from seven Muslim majority countries.

The protest started at 6PM at Bartholemew Square, home to Brighton Town Hall, but had to be closed as more people than expected arrived.

The 2000-strong crowd then marched from the town hall to Brighton Station, and back to the seafront, bringing traffic in the city centre to a standstill.

Despite only being organised 24 hours in advance, an impressive number of people turned up, waving home made placards and chanting anti-trump slogans.
