This week: Gary Hutchins of Hutchins Wine
“We are producing 2,000 bottles of red and white wine. If it is successful, there can be more to come. It’s great to work with Plumpton and produce an English wine. I am completely in support of ‘buying British’ and English wine is getting better and better. The wine is available from Butlers and the local pubs, The Brunswick, The Prince Albert, The Robin Hood and Latest Musicbar.”
Brighton guitar designer Gary Hutchins turns to marketing English regional wine, made from grapes grown on the Plumpton Estate in Sussex. The labels on the bottles are illustrated with photos of Gary’s limited edition guitars. The profits from the sale of Hutchins wine will support the work of the Yellow Fish-Hutchins Foundation, an operation created to raise funds for third-party charities in Sussex. Gary’s fundraising events this year include a London to Gibraltar bike ride in August and various musical events around the south coast.
