Brighton Festival Chorus Christmas Concert

In a grand display of Christmas joy, the Brighton Dome rang with the delightful consonance of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Brighton Festival Chorus, and the Brighton Festival Youth Choir, on this mildly cold December afternoon.

Music stirs both tension and release. Conducted by James Morgan and serving as a striking celebration of the festive season, we were also accompanied by duo Juliette Pochin singing mezzo-soprano, and Paul Reeves as bass.

Spectators were invited to open their vocal chords in harmonic unison to Christmas classics, including ‘Once In Royal David’s City’, ‘O Come All Ye Faithful’, ‘Hark! The Herald Angels Sing’, and ‘Santa Claus Is Coming to Town’.

One lady from the audience was able to conduct her rendition of Händel’s ‘Hallelujah Chorus’. The show was humorous and positively received. Families left with a warm glow to their cheeks and beaming smiles that reflect a convivial atmosphere.
