The Vote: Episode 3
You hardly ever see gay issues seriously debated on mainstream news TV. Youdon’t see Pride covered either although more people go to Pride in Brighton than Glastonbury. Latest TV wants to put this right so on The Vote Show this week you can see Torsten Hojer report on National Student Pride in Brighton and included is a great interview with Peter Tatchell. Then James Ledward explains to presenter Frank le Duc all about the new Pride and Cllrs Gill Mitchell and Andrew Wealls relay their support. And the big exclusive is why is David Beckham involved? Well you’ll have to watch to find out.
Also on the show is a debate on the schools crisis in the city. By 2014 we will run out of secondary school places claims Labour group leader Cllr Gill Mitchell. Cllr Sue Shanks, the education spokesperson for The Greens puts the council’s position and what they are doing to resolve this while Cllr Andrew Wealls wonders why we have so many bright kids in Brighton but our exam results are not great.
Mark Brailsford from The Treason Show adds a touch of satire to the show.
