From Radio to TV Count Arthur Strong has to be one of the funniest and most bizarre comedy characters for many years, but to savour the real genius of this madcap manifestation you simply have to see him live. Arthur now has two decades of memories from his ten national tours, 15 years of that multi-award winning radio show and three series of his BAFTA nominated TV sitcom. Back in the mid 70s I sat on the upper deck of a number 11 bus heading down the Kings Road. Sat next to me was a young guy who within a year was rocking the world with hits like Ant Music Stand and Deliver and Prince Charming. Yes, it was Adam Ant and he’s back at the Brighton Centre this June with a set that is guaranteed to contain all those piratical swashbuckling hits.
