Ordinary People – Holocaust Memorial Day 2023

27th January 2023 marks Holocaust Memorial Day, The Brighton and Hove Holocaust Education Project and Latest TV, supported by Brighton & Hove City Council and the Brighton & Hove Jewish Representative Council, are presenting this commemorative event at Hove Town Hall.

This year’s event covers the theme of Ordinary People. A central aim of Holocaust Memorial Day is to allow audiences to hear testimony from survivors of the Holocaust and other atrocities in order to embrace our common humanity and to underline that we must all be vigilant against violence and oppression.

Speakers at this event include the Mayor of Brighton & Hove, Cllr Lizzie Deane and the Council Leader, Cllr Phelim MacCafferty, MP for Brighton Kemptown, Lloyd Russel Moyle, MP for Brighton Pavilion, Caroline Lucas and MP for Hove, Peter Kyle. Also featuring a number of songs, Chief Inspector Andy Saville from Sussex Police, Doris Levinson from the Holocaust Education Project and more.
