Man due in court charged with Brighton seafront stabbing
A 30-year-old man is due to appear in court after a man in his sixties was stabbed on Brighton seafront.
John Willett, of no fixed address, has been charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm in Madeira Drive in the early hours of Saturday (8 September).
Willett, who is unemployed, is due to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court this morning (Monday 10 September).
Officers were called just after 2.30am on Saturday after a man in his sixties was stabbed.
The victim was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital suffering from serious injuries. He remains in hospital.
