Celeb City: Azealia Banks brings the attitude
Azealia Banks brings the attitude, Adele’s Bond track is leaked online, plus Nuart, Pride & Peace
Sweet female attitude
Clare and Emma from the office are off to see Azealia Banks at the Concorde 2 this week – after waiting months and months to go! It’s been a turbulent few months for the mermaid-haired star, who has seen the release of her album repeatedly delayed, tour dates cancelled, magazine covers censored and singles pulled over sampling disputes. Thankfully her gig at the Concorde 2 still looks set to go ahead and, what with the quality of her mixtape released earlier this year, we’re expecting huge things from the American rapper! Now they’ve just got to find something suitably provocative to wear…
Stars unite for art
Our Peace One Day project has come to a close with an amazing art show held at the ICA London. Damien Hirst, Gavin Turk, Sam Taylor-Wood and the Chapman brothers all got involved with making art pieces out of decommissioned AK-47s which were then auctioned to raise money for the cause. It’s been great working with Jeremy Gilley and his Peace One Day team, with us meeting Elton John, Lily Cole, James Morrison and Jude Law in the process. Make sure you check out their website to learn more about the fantastic organisation.

The Sky Falls early
So, it’s official: Adele is singing the latest Bond tune for 2012’s Skyfall. The award winning singer-songwriter, who is recently rumoured to have bought a house in the Brighton area, put an end to months of speculation by tweeting a picture of the Skyfall score. Sadly the song was leaked online early so a few keen fans got a listen before the official launch date of 5 October – which marked 50 years of the Bond film franchise. So far the response has been positive, with Adele sticking to a classic big-strings style – now we’re just desperate to see the upcoming film, which premieres this month and includes shots from locations around the South East. Make sure you book your tickets soon.
Nuart in Norway
Last week we were lucky enough to pop to Nuart festival in Norway with the crème de la crème of global street art. Accompanied by the likes of SABER, Ron English, the delicious HowNosm and the ‘Obama-gift-giving’ Ben Eine, JBPR took worldwide press around Stavanger to discover this unique event. We were excited to meet Niels Shoe Meulman who has just been working with Mos Def on a Louis Vuitton campaign which sees him provide his trademark calligraffiti to a celebration of the legend Muhamed Ali. In the evenings NuMusic festival ensured that we had something to party to with Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth, The Orb, CasioKids and the Mad Professor all taking their turn in the brewery-turned-music-venue Tou Scene. Next year looks set to be even bigger so be sure to check it out if you’re into all things urban. www.nuartfestival.no/home

Spotted!
Steve Coogan in Rottingdean Tescos. Apparently his long locks have all gone – replaced by a fetching flat cap!
