An Evening With Christine Walkden

As the evening proved, Christine certainly knew her stuff but then you would expect no less from someone who has studied her craft for over 40 years. Lecture-based as opposed to informal chat, the evening was no less entertaining or informative. The talk mainly focused on her journeys/plants through the USA/Africa and whilst a knowledge of even the basics of gardening or botany would be beneficial (unlike your humble reviewer), you cannot help but wonder at the glories that Mother Nature throws up, exemplified by Christine’s pictures from around the world. Even the technical gremlin’s at the start couldn’t dampen her enthusiasm and infectious love of the subject matter.
