Slapdash Galaxy

So much more than a one-man shadow puppet show, Jeff Achtem hurtled around the stage and the audience using a wealth of props and different light techniques, whilst narrating an original story that was simple but still sweet and funny. There were also some surprisingly emotional moments, such as a moving “is he dead?” scene set to Arvo Pärt’s ‘Spiegel im Spiegel’, and there was also a memorable 3D section that was both technically intriguing, and good fun for the children. A marvellously inventive and creative show that was enjoyable and engrossing for all ages.
