Hove pensioner charged with having child porn

A pensioner from Hove man has been charged with having child porn which he is believed to have downloaded from the internet.

Brian Sullivan, 67, of Clarendon Villas, Hove, appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (21 December).

He was charged with seven offences. Four of them related to making indecent images and videos of children and three related to having extreme pornographic images and videos.

The case was sent to Lewes Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on Thursday 23 January. Sullivan was released on bail.

Sussex Police said: “None of the charges relate to allegations of contact offending and all the alleged indecent images and videos were internet-based.

“The charges, authorised by the Crown Prosecution Service, follow an investigation by officers from the Hove Neighbourhood Policing Team.”
