Beauty Product of the Week: Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream

Clinique have long been know for their high quality and allergy tested products, with their latest edition causing a CC Cream craze!

CC Creams have recently bounced onto the make-up market in a delicious fashion. Following on from the famous Blemish Balm Creams, the Colour Correcting formulas have created a new dimension to make-up products.

Clinique offer an impressive nine different shades of the Moisture Surge CC Cream, all of which have different colour groups to narrow down skin shade choices. I’d suggest getting a sample and matched at the Clinique counter before buying to ensure you have the correct shade! The Moisture Surge ingredient is a dream and doesn’t cling to any dry patches, whilst also giving a practical layer of SPF 30. Although the consistency can be slightly thicker than other BB or CC Creams, the colour pay off makes it the perfect all-in-one foundation and suncream to keep you protected throughout the day.

The light and consistent coverage has won itself a place in the top 100 InStyle make-up products for 2014, as well as much praise from beauty bloggers alike. It covers any imperfections and gives a glowy finish, whilst the Smart Colour Correcting Technology helps tone down redness and uplift dull and ashy skin.

I found that this product is an ideal CC Cream for those days when you want more coverage and added SPF, as it didn’t look too ‘cakey’ once blended in thoroughly. The brushes I’d recommend using are the Real Techniques Stippling Brush or the Tom Ford Cream Foundation Brush to complete the flawless look.
