Amex Stadium in Brighton to host big match for potential foster parents
The biggest match of the year could be taking place at the American Express Community Stadium in Falmer this weekend for hundreds of children in Brighton and Hove.
The fixture at the home of Brighton and Hove Albion is a fostering information event being held as part of National Foster Care Fortnight.
Brighton and Hove City Council said that the event at the Amex Stadium was “a great opportunity to find out about fostering, to talk to us and meet our wonderful foster carers”.
Foster Care Fortnight started on Monday (12 May) and runs until Sunday 25 May.
It is the Fostering Network’s annual campaign to raise the profile of fostering and encourage more people to consider becoming foster carers.
This year the theme of “guess who fosters” aims to smash stereotypes and highlight the skills and qualities needed to become a foster carer.
The event at the football stadium runs from 10am to 11.30am.

Another event is due to take place on Wednesday 4 June in Moulsecoomb.
The council said: “Our Fostering Recruitment Team can offer a great opportunity to meet us in our offices, start the form-filling process, get your questions answered, meet one of our foster carers and share coffee and cake.”
