Murder On The Nile

Summing up the performance in one word… professional. The play itself centres on nine Westerners, inexorably connected in some way or another, travelling down the Nile on a paddle steamer accompanied by their two local stewards. Of course (spoiler alert!!!!), there’s a murder or three with the remaining travellers suspected of the crime by virtue of the fact they are still alive. The characters are well rounded and the script as you would imagine is tight. Kate O’Mara’s permanently sloshed ‘Miss Ffoliot-Ffoulkes’ in particular has some delicious put-downs. It’s not exactly ground-breaking but with an excellent cast is well worth a trip.
