The annual and historic Brighton Christmas Day Dip cancelled

The Christmas Day swim in Brighton has been cancelled.

For more than a century, brave swimmers have ventured into the English Channel to welcome in December 25.

But due to safety concerns, this year’s event has hit the rocks as Brighton & Hove City council will close the beaches on the big day.
