David Walliams’ split; FlipSide exhibition; Bozboz scoops gold; Macmillan’s success

walliams
Sad news for national comedy treasure David Walliams who has reportedly ‘split’ from his model wife Lara Stone. According to reports, the 43-year-old comedian and his 31-year-old wife have agreed to a trial separation after the model left the couple’s London home this week. David and Lara have a two-year-old son, Alfred. Not surprisingly, the Little Britain star is reported to be ‘devastated’ …

Back Flip
In happier news, last week saw the opening of FlipSide – an amazing photography exhibition by Brightonian Jessica van der Weert that brings some of the world’s best dance music DJs and producers out from behind the decks and shows them as you’ve never seen them before. Think Boy George in a scene from Platoon and Radio 1’s Danny Howard in an armchair on the cobbles outside the Rover’s Return. The launch party at London’s Hoxton Gallery was packed to the rafters and our favourite superstar DJ Fatboy Slim was in attendance, along with DJ Hype and Annie Mac.

Fashion Fundraiser
An amazingly brilliant band of people got together in the city last week and raised over £5,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support. The first (but definitely not the last) Trevor Sorbie Brighton Fantastic Fashion Fundraiser took place at The Thistle Hotel on Thursday 26 February – with clothes from French Connection, Jigsaw, Jaeger, Born & Bred and Coast, make-up by Shu Uemura, production by Jane Busby and of course hair by Morgan and the amazing team at Trevor Sorbie.
The evening was presented by the one and only Dolly Rocket who gave her all with a gobsmackingly gorgeous cabaret performance. Trevor Sorbie MBE joined hundreds of guests and gave a very moving speech. Every single person involved on the night gave their services for free in an awesome display of teamwork.
