Pridepride-1
It’s nearly here! August 1 is the big day for Pride 2015 and the whole city is counting down to the biggest day in our calendar. The Pride Community Parade will draw over 160,000 people out onto the city’s streets to celebrate the 25th year of Brighton and Hove Pride; a quarter of a century of out and proud celebrations for the city’s amazing and diverse LGBT+ communities and to recognise the outstanding work done by the community groups. The theme for 2015 is the ‘Carnival of Diversity’ and no doubt the UK’s largest Pride parade will once again be the liveliest, most colourful, uplifting and empowering visual showcase in the city. If you’re planning to go along and support the groups taking part in the Pride Community Parade, don’t forget that the starting point for 2015 will be Hove Lawns, with the Parade heading along King’s Road from 11am before turning up West Street and making its way to Preston Park. At the 25th Anniversary Pride Festival in Preston Park revellers can enjoy performances from The Human League, Fatboy Slim, Ella Henderson, Hercules & Love Affair, Foxes, Tulisa and The Freemasons. The ever popular Wild Fruit Big Top, Legends Cabaret Big Top, are among the many diverse entertainment and community areas on the Park that make Pride the unique celebration we’ve come to love. Have a great Pride everyone – and don’t forget to support the community and buy your tickets from www.brighton-pride.org/tickets
