Stereophonics

Stereophonics blew the roof off the Brighton Centre – Kelly Jones’ unmistakable gravelly Welsh tones washed over the sold-out crowd with a gentle ferocity. It was obvious that the band are accustomed to playing for much larger crowds and they made it look easy – flawless vocals, effortless guitar riffs and numerous instrument changes.

Opening with a track from their ninth studio album ‘Keeping The Village Alive’ the band then casually proceeded to take the audience on a musical journey covering their past two decades in the business. Stand out tracks from the new material were ‘Sunny’,’I Wanna Get Lost With You’ and bluesy/raw ‘Caught Cheating’. The phonics closed the show with iconic track ‘Dakota’ – it was an absolute privilege to be there.
