Police appeal after gun point robbery in Hove

Police are appealing for witnesses to a gun point robbery at a convenience store in Hove yesterday evening

A man went into the Portland Convenience Store in Portland Road at just before midnight wearing a motorbike helmet.

Brandishing a small handgun, he demanded cash from the staff member.

He grabbed between £150 and £200 and also took the cashier’s wallet and mobile phone. He walked out of the shop and headed towards Hogarth Road,
