Brighton man jailed for raping “unwell” woman in Woodingdean

A man who stopped to ‘help’ a woman who was unwell in Woodingdean and then raped her has been jailed for eight years.

Michael Doos, of Netherfield Green, Brighton, was sentenced today after being found guilty last month

The 20-year-old victim had got off the number 2 bus at The Ridgeway shortly before midnight on Wednesday August 12.

She stopped walking as she felt unwell. The woman was then approached by a man in a car.

He got out, pushed her against a wall and raped her in what police have described a extremely distressing incident.
