Confirmed: Four Brighton and Hove surgeries to close this year
Campaigners have failed in a bid to save four doctors’ surgeries across the city.
More than 10 thousand people are affected by the closures of The Practice Group-run centres, which NHS England has now confirmed will not be replaced.
Least affected of the four practices will be the 4,000 patients of The Practice Whitehawk Road.
They will transfer over to Ardingly Court, which is run from the same building as their existing provider.
Patients at Willow House in Bevendean and Hangleton Manor in Hove will also be transferred to practices on Lewes Road and in Portslade respectively.
However 2,000 patients at The Practice North Street will have to find their own new GP.
