Tributes paid to AITC’s Gary Townsend

last night news broke that Albion in the Community’s chief executive Gary Townsend sadly passed away.

Gary was on an early morning run whilst in spain with his partner Hannah when he collapsed and died, he was just 43 years old.

Martin Perry, chairman of the charity, said everyone was shocked and deeply saddened by the news.

He added Gary was a hard working, effective, and extremely popular leader of the organisation.

Tributes from the community have been pouring in for gary on social media.

he was hugely popular amongst co-workers and played a huge part in fundraising, having run the brighton marathon, been a huge advocate of Jadeys dream and most recently completed the brighton to brussels bike ride.

Gary was also due to take part in the brighton triathlon which takes place in september.

He is a figure in the community who will be greatly missed, and the thoughts of everyone here at Latest TV are with his friends and family at this difficult time.
