Little Green Pig: ‘Top’ Partnership For Local Charity
Inspiring online brand Selfish Mother has teamed up with local education charity Little Green Pig to help raise money for young people in Brighton & Hove
SelfishMother.com – a blogzine for like-minded parents started by writer Molly Gunn in 2013 – sells a range of branded t-shirts through #GoodTees with profits going to a selection of fantastic charities such as Women For Women International and Refugee Council UK. Selfish Mother has now donated a staggering £200,000 to charity.
Little Green Pig offers free creative writing projects to 7-18 year olds across the city, with a focus on those from disadvantaged communities. Molly and her family used to live in Brighton and loved hearing about the work that the organisation does, which inspired her to launch a range of tops for adults and children featuring the slogan ‘MAKE IT UP’ which are now on sale at TheFMLYstore.com.
Molly says “I’m super excited to be collaborating with Little Green Pig who do such fantastic work helping children create and invent through language. I’m a writer and love writing – so this is really important to me.”
For every top sold, Selfish Mother will give a percentage of the profits to Little Green Pig.

Little Green Pig Co-Director Julie Watson says, “We are thrilled to be working with Selfish Mother on this amazing partnership. Their donation will mean we can reach more young people than ever before and continue to offer all our projects for free. MAKE IT UP is the perfect reflection of what we do; we believe in trusting your instincts and letting your imagination run free. The team and I will all be wearing our tees to work next week to celebrate!”.
Little Green Pig will also be popping up in central Brighton as part of this partnership. Thanks to support from Selfish Mother, the charity will be running free creative writing and illustration workshops for 8-12 year olds every day from 29 August to the 3 September at the No Walls Gallery on Church Street.
