Kiran Leonard

There’s been a lot of buzz around this teenage wunderkind from Lancashire over the last 12 months, and a rammed Hope was there to see if the hype was to be believed. Well, in short it was, as the 18 year old appeared to have arrived fully formed as an accomplished guitarist … with a slight swagger and some quality garage rock that showed he was unafraid to play around with form. Many songs were interspersed with attacking guitar breaks, as his equally excellent bandmates kept thrusting forward. If he keeps this up he/they could be a serious threat to Alex Turner’s tax-dodging Monkeys.
