Noodles

Noodles is a piece of avant-garde circus theatre. The ‘noodles’ element constitutes a running gag throughout the performance but also an extension for the mass of suspended ropes the performers use for some interesting trapeze-like feats. The aerial pieces are linked by some slight of hand magic (sit near the front to appreciate it more) or some untraditional clowning – more like glammed up minions – but the result was the same. Whilst you appreciate the acrobatics and awe at the dexterity there was, alas, something amiss. For me it all got a bit samey and dare I say it, done before, albeit with a fun and surreal twist.
