British Airways i360: Signage plans revealed

This week we unveiled an artist’s impression of what our proposed new signage will look like, which has been submitted for approval to Brighton & Hove City Council.BAi360-Branding-Artists-Impression-Beach
When we announced our sponsorship by British Airways last November, it sparked a number of questions: “Would we repaint the tower? (the Spinnaker got repainted when it secured Emirates as its partner)”. No, the tower will always be silver as the perforated aluminum cladding is essential the tower’s ability to cope in high winds. “Would we have a neon, flashing sign in red, white and blue?” Definitely not!

I hope you agree that the two proposed signs with our name “British Airways i360” will be an elegant addition to the site. They are made of brushed metal and created by local firm Graffiti. One sign will be installed on the front of our building on Kings Road and the other over the entrance on the beach, so that visitors to the city know who we are.
We will also have BA branded parasols, deckchairs and flags flying on top of the 1866 West Pier Toll Booths. The lighting scheme, which gets turned on this spring, will also reflect BA’s sponsorship.
