Brighton pensioner killed in hit-and-run

A 78-year old pedestrian from Brighton was killed in a hit-and-run last night as police pursued the suspect following an incident in the Bear Road area of Brighton.

The Vauxhall Astra was abandoned and found soon after on Maderia Drive near Concorde 2

A 33-year old man from Brighton has now been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drink driving after handing himself in this morning.
