Temples

Slinking onto the stage inconspicuously, the Temples set at Concorde 2 was as unassuming. There was little differentiation between songs as each was similarly paced: they lacked rise and fall which would usually build tension and create energy. What also suffered was the enthusiasm, or lack of, from the band which ironically came across to many audience members as being ‘too cool for school’. This however, is not to take away from the polished performance given and obvious talent of each instrumentalist. A shame though that style over substance won the day.
