Heads Up

Heads Up started as an Edinburgh Fringe show, and playing in the Marlbrough’s theatre space retains that intimate feel – one man, a candle, and limited lighting and sound effects, telling a story. He says it’s about the end of the world, but storyteller Kieran Hurley uses the apocalypse to ask us to look at ourselves through the characters of the story. All four of the voices (spoken in second person) are perfectly portrayed, from eye-rolling groans of a teenage girl to the chaotic exclamations of a coked up popstar. An utterly enrapturing show that will hold you to the end.
