1 STUFF. are a five piece live band that meshes hip hop, .electronica and funk in a way not too dissimilar to Thundercat. It’s at The Rose Hill, which you might have known as a pub (now an arts hub), and this one should be a good gig for any music lovers into technically minded musicianship or genre fusion.

2 PWR BTTM played a great show at West Hill Hall last December, with The Guardian praising their debut tour for being a shambolic amalgam of beards, biceps and big hair. If it’s anything like their previous gig, the queer punk band’s gig at The Haunt should be a lively mix of glitter & politics.

3 Barely Methodical Troupe have been lauded for their “mortifyingly funny” new wave British circus. Their new show KIN explores group dynamics and how it feels to jostle for attention, told through some bold catching, flying and tumbling.

4 The Harlem Globetrotters have been going for 90 years, and if you don’t know them, they’re an exhibition basketball team that deals in trick shots and entertainment in a theatrical, comedic way. Kind of like wrestling for basketball, and I’m intrigued enough that I’m gonna go myself.

Comedy with Victoria Nangle
5 Caustic faux Gallic wit of the highest order arrives with Alexis Dubus’ alter-ego’s new show – Marcel Lucont’s Whine List. Expect louche musings, a superiority complex and deadpan delivery from the familiar raconteur. Telly credits include The John Bishop Show and Sky Atlantic’s Set List, but it’s live that this creation crackles with enjoyable condescension.

6 There’s something unusual happening over in Hove as the Sweet Dukebox is transformed for the evening into GOAT Island. Join the immersive comedy night set on the fictional island, where you get to know the residents and visiting comedians. Brian Gittins headlines, with support from Rebekka Turner, Fraser Geesin, Sunjai Arif and others, as well as your host Ben Robson.

Arts with Brighton’s Arty
7 The Vending Machine Art Gallery is a quirky concept .that brings art to new, outside-the-norm locations by selling work through (yes, you’ve guessed it) a vending machine. And its debut jaunt outside of London will be hosted on Brighton seafront by Patterns music venue and cocktail bar. Working with a diverse collection of over 35 emerging local and London-based artists, this third iteration of the Gallery will showcase artistic interpretations around the theme ‘Views’ with prints on display in the venue and available to buy from just £20 a pop. Artists include Sophie Abbott, Liam Smith and Adam Campbell.
