Beach mist still baffles experts

The gas which mystified beach goers and residents around Eastbourne on Sunday has yet to be identified.

Agencies including the Maritime, Coastguard, and Environment will team up to continue investigations into the source.

The gas has now dissipated and advice to keep doors and windows shut was withdrawn, but anyone still suffering affects is advised to thoroughly wash out their eyes with water and soap.
