Dines Out: Brighton And Hove Food and Drink Festival
Festival of excellence
One of the highlights of my year has to be hosting the Live Food Stage at the Brighton And Hove Food and Drink Festival – and this season was very special indeed. I was joined on stage by some of the city’s best, incredible culinary talents that have raised the food profile of the city to international standards and acclaim.
Over three days on sunny Hove Lawns I was joined by some of my favourites and, under stripped back conditions far from their excellent professional kitchens they created some simply stunning dishes, too many to show them all here, so I will name the chefs and show a selection of their creative talent in pictures.
Brighton And Hove Food and Drink Festival is an amazing organisation, one dedicated to boosting the profile of the city, placing high on the chart of world food tourism destinations, a mission that we are proud to say we have achieved. There will be more to come but for now it’s hats off to our city’s brilliant chefs: Katherine at OMG Tea, Kanthi Thamma of Spice Circuit, Stephen Edwards at Etch, Donal at 64 Degrees, Jane Parkinson for German Wines, Joanne Knowles at Trenchmore Farm, Shelley from St Anne’s Day Centre, Dan Cotton at Market, George Thomas at Isaac @, Laura Peterson at The Salt Room, Sam Pryor at Fourth and Church, and Mark van Bemmel guesting from Restaurant Publique in Den Haag.
