I Like The Way You Wear Your Hair and Superbard and The Sexy Quantum Stories

It was two-for-one on storytelling at The Basement. ‘I Like The Way You Wear Your Hair’ written and performed by Greg Wohead, told the story of his first teenage crush. The tone was very twee but Wohead’s performance and projected drawings set the play apart from most in the usually unoriginal genre of teen-romance.

Superbard and The Sexy Quantum Stories was a more erratic and extroverted affair. The play involved various bizarre sequences such as an awkward sexual encounter with a purple jelly fish – which, to be honest, I’m still very confused about. However it was very funny and refreshing to watch. If only more people had turned up…
