Peppa Pig Treasure Hunt

I watched Peppa Pig at the Theatre Royal with my four-year-old boy and what a great morning it was. The show takes the audience on an adventure trail to find buried treasure – with a very simple but practical set, easy to follow dialogue and it kept all the children enthralled and drawn in. Peppa, George and their friends travelled to the mountains, to the woods, to an island and back again in search of the treasure. The production uses great audience participation and songs to keep even the youngest of the children captivated.

My only criticism would be that puppets were used rather than life size costumes which would have added to the authenticity and magic of the show. However my four-year-old had no complaints, so that may be an adult opinion, and what do we know?

A Peppa Pig Treasure Hunt sounds like great fun, my two love the show. Children’s imaginations are fantastic; it wouldn’t matter whether it was puppets or costumes, as far as they are concerned it’s Peppa and the family in front of them. Oh to be that innocent again!
