RISE are taking part in the The Big Give Women and Girls Match Fund 2022 to raise a total of £25,000 in just 1 week, which will then be match funded to a total of £50,000! 8th March 2022 was International Women’s Day (#IWD2022), and this year it is also a significant date to make a substantial impact on RISE services. The online campaign page was originally live for 1 week from 12pm (noon) on Tuesday 8th March – 12pm (noon) on 15th March, but has now been extended for an extra week. The campaign will now run until 12pm (noon) on Tuesday 22nd March. All pledges must be made during this time to reach the pledge target and receive the match funding The funding will help RISE to sustain and develop their vital services in Brighton & Hove and across Sussex.
It will support them to provide women-centred counselling services, assertive outreach, recovery groups and peer support. Women survivors of domestic violence and abuse and their children will be helped through their recovery journey moving on to be safer, more confident and able to thrive. All pledges up to £25,000 will be generously matched by The DCMS Tampon Tax Fund during the campaign. Enabling your money to support twice as many survivors’ of Domestic Abuse in Brighton & Hove and across Sussex. Put simply if 2,500 people pledge £10 we will reach our target and receive £50,000, our services cost £4,000 per day to run so you can see what a massive impact this would have for Rise and Women and Girls who are affected by Domestic Abuse across Brighton and Hove.
