EMMA RICE IS BACK WITH BRONTË & CIRCA WITH SACRE

With May nearly upon us Andrew Kay is talking festivals and particularly excited by the return of Emma Rice with her new company Wise Children after seeing her previous sell out productions of Tristan & Yseult in 2017 and The Flying Lovers of Vitebsk in 2018.

Rice famously brings a beauty and vibrancy to the stories she chooses to tell and in this re-telling of Emily Brontë’s masterpiece Wuthering Heights.

Brighton Festival has very much been at the forefront of championing modern circus and circus arts. This year sees Australian Circa Contemporary Circus, one of the world’s leading performance companies, return to Brighton Festival with Sacre, ten acrobats bring Stravinsky’s seminal ‘The Rite of Spring’ to the circus stage.
