Jesus: The Guantanamo Years
The combination of overly warm lighting in The Warren and Abie Philbin Bowman’s flat performance made for quite a snooze fest on this sold out Saturday show. The ideas were good and jokes that weren’t badly delivered or of some reference to Monty Python made me smile, but rarely made me laugh out loud. Jesus’ experience of coming back to the modern world, trying to fight the war on terror and living in his father’s shadow was very cute. This was, at times, clever and thought-provoking – at worst just plain boring.
